What are the system requirements? You need one or more servers running Windows SharePoint Services v3 or Microsoft^® Office SharePoint^® Server (MOSS) Service Pack 1 or higher (earlier Service Pack levels unsupported). Your database can be on the same or a separate server and can be SQL Server® 2005 (Express, Standard or Enterprise Editions) Service Pack 3 or higher, (earlier Service Pack levels unsupported), or SQL Server 2008 (Express, Standard or Enterprise Editions). You need to have Reporting Services running in either SharePoint integrated or standalone mode. You need to have installed the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.

Do I need Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS)? No, all our products are compatible with Windows SharePoint Services v3 (WSS) as well as MOSS.

I have a single server install of WSS v3. Can I use Straightforward™ Expenses without purchasing SQL Server? Yes, you can install SQL Server Express Edition on the same server. Our deployment guide explains how to do this.

How easy is it to write reports? Most competent Excel users are able to write reports with a little practice, and starting with one of the included reports can help make it easier.

Can you help me get SharePoint, SQL Server, and/or Reporting Services running? Yes, please contact us. We help many of our customers with this.

Do you offer support? Yes, all our products come with an option to take out annual support, which entitles you to 5 free calls about using or configuring the system, plus free upgrades. This excludes assistance with system pre-requisites such as setting up Windows, SharePoint, SQL Server or Reporting Services, which can be obtained separately. Support needs to be taken out at the time of purchase of your products.

Can you assist me with installation? Yes, we can help you with installation free of charge, as long as your system pre-requisites are in place. Please contact our Technical Support Team within 10 business days of buying your product.

Can I track re-billable expenses? Yes.

What do we do with receipts? Your users scan receipts into the solution. These are then kept electronically and the originals can be filed.

How good is the SharePoint integration? Our products were written explicitly for SharePoint^® and are deployed as SharePoint Solutions. We don’t use IFrames or screenscrape a pre-existing application.
