Company documents were held on a shared network drive, and difficulties with maintaining accurate document versioning and absence of a good search capability lead GBM to look for another solution. Web-based training tool raises standards in UK sandwich industry
The British Sandwich Association (BSA) is the trade body for the £5 billion UK sandwich industry. It wanted a low-cost, flexible and accessible way of providing training to production staff in sandwich manufacturing. PointBeyond designed and built an easy-to-use online training tool, using a combination of ASP.NET and SQL Server to provide dynamic content, commerce capability and management reporting. The site is in its early stages but the BSA is encouraged by the way it has been received in the industry.
